ESPN International Will Exclusively Televise These World Class Boxing Events
Las Vegas, NV-The Riviera Hotel & Casino will host “Sterling Night of Fights,” a ten event professional boxing series, put on by legendary fight promoter Sterling Promotions and IPWerks.com to be televised on ESPN International from the iconic Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. These exciting events promise to deliver the best in world class boxing with the first show commencing on Saturday, October 15. Future shows are currently schedule for December 17, February 11, March 10, April 7, and May 26, with additional event dates in 2012 to be announced next year by Sterling Promotions and The Riviera Hotel & Casino.
Sterling Promotions’ event promoter, Sterling McPherson, is one of the most recognized individuals in the boxing business. He managed world-class talent such as former IBF Heavyweight Champion Francois Botha, former two time WBC Middleweight Champion Keith Holmes, former WBA Heavyweight Champion Michael Dokes, and former undisputed Heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson which Mc Pherson took to China in December of 2010 where Tyson was named the ambassador of boxing in China. Mr. McPherson, a man who has a first-class reputation with the international boxing community said “I am excited about the partnership with the Riviera Hotel & Casino as the home for “Sterling Night of Fights” and look forward to a long lasting relationship. Now world class boxing will return October 15, 2011 and be televised exclusively on ESPN International. The television commentary team for the October fight will be headed by the legendary boxing Hall of Fame broadcaster “Colonel” Bob Sheridan. The former undisputed heavyweight world champion James “Buster” Douglas will be assisting Bob Sheridan with the commentary.
The main event and co-main bouts, featuring top rated boxers, for the first scheduled show on October 15 will be announced shortly.
