DERRICK CAMERON HEADLINES RIVIERA COMEDY CLUB APRIL 26 – MAY 2

Derrick became a regular at the Comedy Store in La Jolla, and The Improv in San Diego. Since then, he has appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” BET’s “Comic View,” VH1’s “Stand Up Spotlight.” A&E’s “Comedy On The Road” and MTV’s “Comedy Hour.”

Vinnie Coppola is a founding member of The Comedy Zone in Jacksonville, Florida, and has toured the club circuit extensively, including gigs at San Francisco’s Punchlines, Atlantic City’s Jester’s, Couch House in St. Augustine, Hollywood’s Laugh Factory and Cocomo’s in the Bahamas. Television fans will recognize Vinnie from his appearances on Comedy Central and the Nashville Network.

Grant Lyon will round out this week’s comedic trio. Grant has toured numerous comedy clubs including the Hollywood Improv, Punchlines in San Francisco, the Icehouse in Pasadena and Comedy Underground in Seattle. He was a finalist in the 2006 Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition in Sunnyvale, California, and the winner of the 2008 Colorado Mile High Comedy Competition.

CARL LaBOVE HEADLINES RIVIERA COMEDY CLUB APRIL 19 - 25

Carl is one of, if not the, most physical comedians on the comedy club circuit today. His act centers on a unique storytelling style in which he incorporates quick-witted improvisation with physical reenactments of his tales. “I’m a scene-ist. I bring up a subject and then perform it. Tony Camin’s many credits include NBC’s “Late Night With Conan O’Brien,” “Comedy Showcase With Louie Anderson,” HBO’s “Best of Fest” and Comedy Central’s “Two Drink Minimum.” Tony has performed at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts and is the author of the pilot “The Lemurs.”

Erik Mackenroth believes there are no boundaries when it comes to comedy. He believes audiences should have an open mind and be ready to hear and see anything. His extreme stand-up has made him a comedy favorite, appearing on several Disneyland Resort commercials, ABC’s “Switched,” CBS’ “Clubhouse” and the Game Show Network’s “Extreme Gong Show.”

CALIFORNIA WOMEN HITS JACKPOT AT RIVIERA HOTEL & CASINO LAS VEGAS


Cynthia Anne Chevalier of Los Angeles, California, won a $414,676 Megajackpot® while playing Wheel of Fortune® quarters at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday evening, April 12.

Chevalier, a clerk vacationing with her husband, felt extra lucky on the day she became the jackpot winner. “I hadn’t played Wheel of Fortune in a while and this machine was calling me.” Chevalier played only $25.00 in quarters before she hit the Megajackpot. “I didn’t know I had hit the jackpot until the lady next to me said I was a winner. I was ecstatic.”

Rick Scheer, Director of Slot Operations at the Riviera said, “It’s a wonderful feeling to personally witness and share in the joy of such a life changing experience. Our guests were thrilled to see her win the $414,676 jackpot.”

Chevalier and her husband visit Las Vegas two to three times a year. Her jackpot will be paid out in annual installments. When asked about her plans for the winnings, Chevalier said she would use the money to help fund her retirement, arrange a family reunion in Las Vegas, and help her daughter and grandchildren.

BILLY GARAN HEADLINES RIVIERA COMEDY CLUB APRIL 12 - 18

Garan’s staggering list of impressions is demonstrated in his “Hollywood High” routine where he plays all the characters in a classroom of celebrity students, ranging from Truman Capote to Sylvester Stallone. Appearing in clubs across the country, Garan has opened for Robert Klein, Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. He has appeared on Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network,” “Caroline’s Comedy Hour” and “Into The Night With Rick Dees.”

Dave Russo received national attention when he won out over 30,000 entertainers in 10 major cities to be a part of E! Entertainment Network’s 10 episode series entitled “The Entertainer” starring Mr. Las Vegas himself Wayne Newton. Dave has made a reputation as being one of the most versatile and entertaining comics working today.

Tim Babb began his career as an on air personality on MIX 106.5FM in San Jose, California. He has opened for Sinbad, Christopher Titus, John Witherspoon, Jake Johannsen and Weird Al Yankovic. Tim is the creator of “Tim Babb’s Kingdom Comedy” series on YouTube and was featured in the PBS documentary “Crossing The Line: Multiracial Comedians.”
