I was there for 2 nights after a trade show I was in town for.
There was minor mix-up on my reservation which the Host took care of professionally and right away. Reserved a smoking room and yes, those have not been remodeled and are a bit tired, but clean and no issues. (I have also been there in the remodeled non-smoking rooms and they are GREAT!)

The casino staff was OUTSTANDING!! Most of them have been there for 20-30 years and it was great hearing some of the stories and the history.
I love that this is a "sole property" and not part of a huge chain where you are truly just a number.

I played blackjack most of the time and both nights was offered a comp for, not the buffet, but Kristofer's Steak House. It was wonderful and made me feel like a "high roller" I was there to gamble and they rewarded my play. Period. No huge corporate checklist or computer program to go off of. Real, live people treating someone well.
That alone has earned my loyalty and is far more important to me than a slightly tired smoking room (hey, it's just another cost of smoking...)

I would recommend this hotel and casino to any and all looking to be treated (on the floor) like you mean something.

MARK SWEET HEADLINES RIVIERA COMEDY CLUB MAY 24 - 30

KEN ROGERSON HEADLINES RIVIERA COMEDY CLUB MAY 10 - 16

The funniest man you’ve never heard of started his comedy career working the Chicago club circuit and the famed Second City. After touring with the improvisational troupe The Comedy Rangers, Ken moved east and became a central part of the now famous and infamous exploding Boston comedy scene in the 1980s, where he honed his stand-up act to a fine edge…sharp enough to cut the head off a rabbit at thirty yards.”

John Pizzi has performed with all the greats: Dionne Warwick, Peggy Lee, Kenny Logins, Steven Wright, The Platters, Dom Irrera and many others. John has played the college circuit and has performed in the premier comedy clubs across the country.

Jodi Weiner’s likeability and cuddly persona could defrost the most difficult of audiences. She has appeared nationally at Funny Bones, Improvs, Punchlines, Caesars Resorts, Catch A Rising Star and many other venues.
